Two years after their breakthrough album
Streetcleaner, Godflesh released a four song EP titled
Slavestate. This ended up being released in three different formats: the four song EP, a three song remix EP and the nine song mini LP featured here. The thrive for a more electronic sound, which is almost "techno" at times, is what really divided people into two camps: disappointed haters and people who liked the album.
