You should be aware of what's coming at you by now, this is the first full length by Dälek. Bridging together conventional and experimental successfully, the collective once again deliver the goods! The standout track for me is the twelve-minute behemoth "Black smoke rises"; they discard musical rules altogether, fill the background with atonal drones, computer bleeps, seemingly random feedback and ghostly, levitating spoken word .. the result is a noisy and captivating mantra: "Black smoke rises to a heaven I do not know. Slowly gaze to take in our sorrow."
Repeat mantra until desired effects take place. Enjoy!

Dälek - Absence (2004)
Dark, darker, Dälek.
Their second full length, Absence, continues on the path of noisy and abrasive hip-hop. Take one part loud industrial beats, one part noisy turntable scratching, a few cups of cacophonous noise and the whisk in complimentary vocalisations about poverty, oppression and ignorance. Stir, strain and serve. Enjoy the soundtrack to modern decay. The destruction is imminent; hope that you are ready!

Dälek - Negro Necro Nekros (1998)
Requested by my man n2o4, here's some experimental hip hop à la Dälek! Their first EP, Negro Necro Nekros, is a very dark and strong journey in distorted beats and occasional walls of noise created by the producer Oktopus (a pseudonym of Alap Momin). When you add Dälek's spoken word (the lyrics can be all be found on their homepage) on top of the mix, you end up with a very droning and mesmerizing record.
This is even recommended for people who dislike the rap genre as a whole, this is blistering and "in your face" underground hip hop in every good way imaginable. Enjoy!
